Madeline Hurst, event designer and partner in Fern Foot Events
I want to create events that are beautiful. That feel special. That make people happy.
I have always loved the magic created by the smell of good food, the glow of candlelight, and a comfy place to connect. It's a magic created by my grandma's thrifted and heirloom treasures in her off-grid ridge top home that’s never quite finished, it's the magic of my mother in her perpetual redecorating for that certain je n'est c'est quoi at a valley's edge on Kaua’i, its the magic of my auntie with her collections of vintage ceramics displayed in all their colorful glory and used for every day because it’s always worth it to scoop that sour cream out of the plastic container and into something pretty at her homestead near the coast.
I've been designing and creating since I was a little girl and co-creating and producing events for 9 years.
My aim is to work with you to honor your hopes and vision for your event, while offering practical advice to keep you on budget and still liking each other.
I am a passionate advocate of LGBTQ rights.
Trevor Evans, left hand(ed) man, coordinator to the coordinator, and partner in Fern Foot Events
I know Trevor didn’t grow up thinking he’d be a wedding coordinator when he grew up, but you’d never know it now- his easy demeanor, laser focused attention to detail, and endless well of energy make him the best thing that ever happened to Fern Foot Events… and to Madeline. He is also credited with coming up with the business name, because he loves her fern tattoos. It sounded a little weird to put something mentioning feet in the business name, but it’s worked out pretty well so far, so we’re sticking with it.
